Founded in Cape Town in 2010, Kim Stephen Interiors' design style has become well known for her skilled use of colour. The spaces that she creates are sophisticated in their design, but simultaneously always easy to live in. Kim works across various styles and saturations of hue, depending on the project requirements. Since relocating to London in 2016, she has undertaken numerous residential design projects in London, Surrey and further afield, ranging from penthouse apartments to large family homes.

"Tasked with the full refurbishment of a listed Lion House in Barnes, London, the brief was to create a home that was ‘full of surprises’ but at the same time a comfortable and welcoming retreat for a busy banker and her young child. Kim went about creating interest by using unexpected designs and materials and layering it all using a very clever mix of colour and pattern. Extensive research, consultation and creative thinking resulted in an outcome that included a nod to the client’s European heritage, the history of the house and its London setting, and at the same time was ‘full of surprises’ - delivering a truly on-brief and unique home."
