We were commissioned by the client to transform part of their Georgian family home in Kent into an area that would be practical and inviting for the whole family to use. We converted a barn style room into a library and designed a mezzanine, bespoke joinery for the clients large collection of books and various AV equipment and fireplaces at each end, one with a luxurious seating area, and the other an open wood burner beside a large table which we converted into a desk where the family could sit and work. The conservatory which had previously been used as an entrance hall, was turned into a summer dining area and entertaining room, we put in plantation blinds, designed a bespoke folding door system, to enable the room to be cosy if the need was there, and painted the woodwork in a deep teal colour resulting in usage all year round. Lastly we created a boot room and inner hall incorporating a specially designed biblioteque to put all the owners cook books and gardening paraphernalia in.
