About Us

Tamsin Saunders set up her design studio Home & Found in 2012 and has worked on numerous period and listed homes in and outside London. Her love of pure craftsmanship and nature are evident in the homes she creates; she designs timeless, understated interiors with a gentle elegance and intangible feel of solidity, spaces that are filled with natural light and comfortably furnished with an effortless mix of beautiful and original things.

How would you describe your style?

Relaxed, understated, natural, beautiful and interesting with a focus on craftsmanship and natural materials, subtle colours, pattern and texture and an obsession with detail.

I like creating homes which feel modest, understated and original and which have a strong call to the outside and nature. I love restoring and refurbishing period buildings - and I hope that even after they’ve been extended they feel as if they have always been there.  I enjoy overseeing the entire project from concept to completion including planning and project managing the build. I also offer a design consultancy and love finding beautiful art, textiles and antiques - they are always more interesting and better made than new.  I actively try and steer my clients away from fashions and trends and avoid anything over designed or ‘tick-boxy'. Creating a home is a long journey and can take years.  Each project has its own distinct feel determined by the house itself, its setting and the client's lifestyle and taste. I start with the bones and focus on getting the structure right - storage, natural light, flow.  At the same time I’m always on the look out for treasures which will make the house feel distinctly personal, calm and inviting, comfortable and unique.
