"Our bespoke service starts by understanding the design narrative, environment, and overall creative vision. We have designed and manufactured everything from 5-metre crystal chandeliers, delicately laced with hand-etched markings to create a subtle twinkling effect; perfect to create dramatic intrigue in the Dandy Bar within the Mayfair Townhouse. Through to alabaster celestial-inspired suspended bedside lights for the cosmic-themed Galaxy Yacht.

Our made-to-order Signature Collection also offers endless versatility across unlimited design styles. Eclectic inspiration is taken from Art Deco, Mid Century and 60s, as well as organic references from nature to create wonderfully timeless pieces."

Bespoke Service

With a culmination of decades within the company, our designers have transferred priceless knowledge to each other and have created a perfect bridge of communication with our in-house master artisans. Our commitment to carefully curated designs enables Northern Lights to approach bespoke lighting in ways that very few other companies can. 

I.    Concept Meeting

We work with our clients to first understand every aspect of the brief, the environment, key architectural, furnishing and finish details, budgets and the overall design vision.  The quality of this information ensures the lighting solutions illuminate and elevate key design features and areas within the space, combining luxury aesthetics with functional integrity.

II.    Solutions & Design

Once a concept has been discussed in detail, our teams develop solutions to realise your design vision.  We can advise on everything from the best material to refract light, engineering considerations for specific environments, and of course, recommended lumen outputs and how to maximise your lighting budget.   Once solutions and options are agreed upon, the initial design drawings are created.

III.    Technical Drawings

Following approval of the designs, the next step is the creation of technical drawings for manufacturing, with highly detailed information on each process required.  This is often the most challenging aspect and can be complex in nature, which is why we work closely with our in-house team of skilled fabricators, finishers and wiring teams to ensure we have the perfect techniques in place for each individual project.  

IV.    Manufacturing

Will technical drawings in place, the designs move on to the manufacturing stage.  In the hands of our master artisans with decades of experience, each process is carefully undertaken, and quality is assured at every stage.  The benefit of having the design and manufacture all under one roof means we have full control of each process from start to finish.  The lighting then moves on to a rigorous testing and QA process, before being securely packaged and delivered to the site exactly when you need it.
