Sarah and Anna launched their design partnership in 2015, winning an RHS Gold Medal at Tatton Park Flower Show for their first garden. Since then, they have been building their design partnership, designing gardens across the home counties and the West Country, relishing the challenge that each new project brings. Working on rural estates, coastal gardens and shady city courtyards, Sarah and Anna have become known for designing sensitive and emotional gardens, with beautiful planting schemes that are seasonally interesting and visually exciting. They are influenced by the surrounding landscape and approach each garden anew, taking time to research and get to know both the garden and their clients, to ensure they deliver a unique and beautiful space.
Jarmanmurphy is committed to producing sustainable designs, using native and UK-grown plants wherever possible to encourage pollinators and wildlife, and causing minimal disruption to the landscape.

"We have been shortlisted for the Society of Garden Designers 2022 Awards for a project we recently designed and planted in rural Hertfordshire. The unused, north-facing garden was transformed from an unkempt sloping lawn surrounded by conifers, into a relaxing garden over three linked levels for all the family to enjoy. It is a haven for wildlife, with native trees and plants included in the scheme to connect the garden to the countryside beyond, and to feed and encourage pollinators, moths and birds."
