About Us

Nick Fyhrie Studio is a multi-disciplinary art and interior design practice launched in 2018. With an extensive background in fine arts and design project management, the Studio focuses on residential interior design, art, and decoration. Nick approaches each project uniquely to his client’s needs with clever and sophisticated creativity. Collaboration and communication are emphasized throughout the design process including hand drawings and custom designs for furnishings. Ever resourceful, Nick is a veritable library of information, pulling ideas everywhere from nature to history to contemporary film as inspiration. Color, pattern and mixed materials often play key roles in creating interiors that are not only visually dynamic but also comfortable and usable.

Artwork and Interior Design

How would you describe your style?

"My style is refreshing, refined, fun, bold, and unexpected. One label or box does not apply. Layers and nuances of ideas around balancing colors, textures, and patterns always inform my approach so that the 1970s can live with the 1930s and bespoke pieces can be made to add innovation of the now. I believe that form and function should always be in conversation, but why not add a little of the unusual and the daring?"

Please describe a recently completed project or tell us about the bespoke service that you offer

"As part of my Design Services, I offer project-based bespoke designed furnishings and art where technical hand drawings and developing ideas play a large role. I adore selecting fabrics and materials to create unique pieces that complement the client’s home and that can be translated or evolved into additional designs. As a painter, my studio practice balances and enhances my interior design services. Oil paintings direct from my inventory and custom artworks can be purchased and/or commissioned for unique spaces. I am always inspired by the actual architecture and environments of the homes and the perspectives of the people I work with. My philosophy is that if I can dream or envision something, then there’s a way to manifest it in material reality."
