About Us
At Robertson Lindsay we enjoy working closely with each client to understand their style and the atmosphere they want to create. It ensures that every project is unique and personalised. Each home that we design is different - no one is the same.
We draw rooms in 3D so that you can clearly see how layout options work. It is also important to incorporate lighting design into each scheme from the start. We are passionate about how good lighting enhances a room and creates mood.
We design and commission the majority of furniture specifically for each client. Our business is based in a working design studio rather than a shop, so we don’t hold any stock. This means that we can create something that is perfect for each client.
Whether we are working on a compact contemporary apartment or an historic Scottish castle, we pride ourselves on listening closely to our clients’ ideas and dreams for their home. We also love throwing in ideas that you might not have thought of.

We design gardens of all style but my own style would be a strong, formal framework with a softer, exuberant infill and details.

Our brief was to create a suitable entrance and sense of arrival for this recently divided country house and to create a new terrace that would allow the family a shady dining area and plenty of space to entertain large parties.
