The Dormy House believe in creating a tranquil environment where its clients can escape the stresses of the day. As a family business making furniture in the heart of Hampshire, they have been turning houses into homes for over 40 years.
Founded in 1981 by John and Eileen Valenzia, the small-scale business started by making round tables from the couple's garage and was named after the home they lived in. Their simple slot-together table soon became a phenomenon, and the company has since expanded its range of furniture and its premises – spring 2014 saw the move of The Dormy House to a newly refurbished factory in Andover. The extensive space in which they now work has meant that the company has been able to grow their modular product ranges and offer an efficient service and expert one-to-one advice for their customers.
Now run by Valenzias’ daughter Anna, along with her husband Gary and daughter Charlotte, the ethos of the company still remains the same to this day – the team love what they do, designing and producing furniture, and developing ideas into practical yet stylish home interior solutions.
