“We have just completed a project to build a new 16,000sq ft country house in a stunning parkland setting in Oxfordshire. We worked initially with our clients to review and finesse the internal architectural layouts of the house and then throughout the 2-year build designing the interior architectural elements and implementing a full interior design service for the house. Beautiful light floods in through large windows highlighting the natural palette of soft greys, muted greens, warm whites and dusky pinks creating a calm and relaxed feel for this family home.
There is a lateral flow to the ground floor layout and it has uninterrupted views across the gardens to the front and to the back. We wanted to avoid creating unnecessary corridors so we incorporated full height bespoke wooden pivot doors which while open read as wooden sculptural walls but when closed allows our clients to create more private and intimate spaces. Refined simplicity, natural materials and impeccable attention to detail all form part of our design philosophy. This philosophy translates in our relationships with some of the finest independent craftsmen who we call upon when designing interiors for our clients.
The studio is currently working on some very exciting projects including the interior design for a number of significant new build contemporary country houses, the full interior design of two Georgian manor houses in the Cotswolds and elegant homes in Notting Hill and Kensington."
