Poliform's roots go back to the 1940s when the brothers Pietro and Giuseppe Spinelli and their cousin Luigi Anzani established an artisan cabinet making firm. They went from strength to strength providing cabinets and wardrobe solutions, which remains a key component of the business today. The Poliform brand was then launched in 1970 and the family have ensured it remains true to its expertise in modular systems. In 1996 they acquired the kitchen brand Varenna, which is synonymous with luxurious modernity, and since then Poliform has expanded to become the globally successful furniture brand it is today. The collection now includes sofas, seating, dining and coffee tables along with beds and bedroom furniture. Collaborations with designers and architects have become an integral part of the brand’s DNA. Securing these partnerships is a testament to Poliform’s integrity and passion for design. Working with the likes of Paolo Piva and Carlo Columbo, Marcel Wanders and Jean-Marie Massaud has shown the brand’s agility and ability to celebrate the very best of design, whilst producing some of Poliform’s best-selling pieces.
