How would you describe your style?

Jo Hamilton Interiors is well known for the elegant and serene design aesthetic instilled by its hands-on creative director, Jo. The style runs right through the heart of all the projects delivered by this studio regardless of where a client’s property is located, with completed projects in London, Miami, Dubai, New York, Geneva and Jeddah, among other places. A keen artist, whose works have been known to adorn the walls of her clients, Jo’s interiors can often be identified by their clever use of colour, texture and tone to create beautiful spaces. However, with a strong focus on each client’s needs and aspirations for their property, every finished scheme is unique - carefully curated, exciting and deeply personal, but delivered meticulously through the elegant lens with which Jo is synonymous. Indeed, it is the bespoke, personal service that Jo Hamilton Interiors gives every client that sets it apart, with Jo firmly of the belief that perfectly moulding the finished scheme around the client, rather than the designer, is key to excellent design.

Please describe a recently completed project or tell us about the bespoke service that you offer

We have completed quite a number of exceptional projects recently. One of them was a 15,000sq ft family house in London’s St John’s Wood, and one of the highlights of that project was a vintage-feel cinema room that we created, complete with red fabric walls, plush red carpet and red velvet sofas. Each seat had its own little table that was lit by an Edison bulb lamp. We also put in a cowhide armchair and one of the sofas had a cowhide section as well. It looked absolutely amazing. Another great project recently was a 1,200 sq ft three-bedroom apartment Kensington that we did for a developer (see first three images below). The kitchen was in the centre of the apartment with little or no natural light. It was also a very small space, so we needed to make sure that we kept it nice and bright and fresh. The simple, clean design was very much intended because light colours and cool tones visually recede, thereby opening a space up and making it feel bigger. We used lots of different fabrics and textures to achieve the softness and elegance in the designs, putting in layer on layer of velvets and linens and warm tones from natural materials like wood. We also added in warmer colours such as the pink blush which is very soft and muted. The finished scheme came together perfectly and the property achieved a record sale result for the developer!
