"I was introduced to a young couple who had got a bit stuck with the massive task of extending a five-bedroom farmhouse into a ten-bedroom house. The style had to be sympathetic to the traditional Cotswold farmhouse, while taking into account the clients' profile as a young, fun duo. The clients also had clear ideas of their own, so much of my job was to do with balancing the traditional ideas of the husband with the more modern and fun ideas of the wife. The couple's main residence is their flat in London and, as they both work, meetings had to happen in the evenings. The implementation of the project took place on the wettest day in November and this brought its own challenges, but with hard work and all hands on deck we had the house ready for 16 guests for a weekend party, on time, much to my clients' and their guests' delight."
