About Us

Led by its Creative Director, Sophie Ashby, Studio Ashby creates spaces with a unique identity. Ashby’s aim is to bring authenticity to each project, not only in the selection of furniture, lighting and art but in its use of a natural palette of materials and textures. Unswayed by the passing dictates of fashion, Ashby draws on her love of antiques, colour, contemporary ‘world art’, modernist furniture, photography and her latest discoveries to deliver an eclectic richness to each interior.

How would you describe your style?

"Studio Ashby’s style is eclectic, layered, colourful and homely.  Art is the central theme, which when surrounded by books, beautiful objects, antique furniture and beautiful textures come together to create a real and authentic sense of home."

Please describe a recently completed project or tell us about the bespoke service that you offer

"We just finished working on a scheme in Covent Garden called Floral Court. The furniture and fabric references were all influenced by the surrounding architecture, landmarks and abstract art found in the local galleries. We sourced the finest and most innovate new artworks for the project including a stand-out collaboration with Berlin-based Flower Styling Consultancy ‘Mary Lennox’ who created a bespoke installation that incorporates beautiful dried flowers arranged beneath a glass surface, tying in with the overall green, rust, red and golden palette of the room. We also recently completed our Hexagon Penthouse project in Holborn. It was a really appealing project for me as I studied Art History and the focus of our designs was on the Bloomsbury Set, drawing from their colour palette and artworks."
