"This garden, in Cranleigh, Surrey, has been transformed from an unloved and overgrown stretch of long grass into a useful and beautiful space for family living. A wildlife pond has attracted dragonflies and frogs to the garden while the wildflower meadow in the orchard feeds bees and moths. Climbing roses drip from old fruit trees creating another level of interest and romance. An oak pergola dripping with roses creates a scented and shaded area for dining al fresco with brick and sandstone paving referencing the Arts & Crafts style house. At the end of the garden, a large space is devoted to producing cut flowers and vegetables for the house."
