Garden & Landscape Design

How would you describe your style?

"Nicholsons is located at the gateway to the Cotswolds, helping to inspire our classic, contemporary style. Our work on farms and manor houses keeps our style earnest and classic, whilst our proximity to Oxford instils fresh and more contemporary thought. We believe that the garden is an extension of the house and therefore requires the same care and attention. Our designers take the client's brief, using experience to deliver the perfect harmony between the house and the landscape. We believe that a garden is not finished until it is furnished. We produce, source and provide simple and sophisticated garden furniture through our outdoor style range, Rosara."

"Our client's brief was to design an entertaining space to complement the natural beauty of this magnificent house. The buildings on site did not sit well together, so our design worked to connect the proposed garden spaces, optimising the natural beauty of the site and concealing awkward angles. Favourite finds were Self Faced York stone slabs which give the garden a high-quality contemporary feel, but work with the heritage stonework; the swimming pool pebble detail; and the enormous two-metre Kadai fire bowl, which is often used to roast large feasts. The garden is excellent for entertaining, offering hidden corners and long vistas."
