"The impressive listed architecture of a grand stucco-clad Notting Hill townhouse became a captivating backdrop for an original and contemporary interior by Katharine Pooley. Generous in size, the timelessly elegant entrance hall, drawing room, library and sweeping staircase lead through to  20,000 sq. ft. of living space set across seven floors overlooking leafy private gardens.  Working closely with the owners,  Katharine created a striking, jewel-box space with unusual and unique details.  As well as overseeing the full architectural and interior design, she sourced impressive large-scale artworks; commissioned the creation of rock crystal and alabaster chandeliers; selected a classic Steinway grand piano for the drawing-room; and added many gallery pieces sourced in Paris, New York and London.  Katharine enjoyed working with a playful, multi-hued, palette and mixed in many personal and individual pieces created especially for the client. Glorious saturated accent colours are scattered throughout with cobalt and azure blue in the drawing room, emerald green in the basement pool, spa and games room and canary yellow and lapis, in two of the seven-bedroom suites."
