What services do you provide?

Interior Design

How would you describe your style?

Light, colour and texture. The use of carefully coordinated colour is so important to create vibrancy and this can take many forms: the curtains, the carpet or soft furnishings, dramatic artwork, or just well-selected ‘statement’ lamps and lighting.

Please describe a recently completed project or tell us about the bespoke service that you offer

The George Bond Interior Design Studio recently completed the total refit and design of an Edwardian mansion in the North of England. The interiors of the five bedroom house were essentially gutted to open up the available space and allow for a radical reconfiguration of the property including the creation of a master suite and extended kitchen. Much of the walls were stripped back to the brick work and new electrical wiring and plumbing installations resulted in extensive plasterwork. The project incorporated a new kitchen layout; new bathrooms; replaced flooring throughout; redecoration of the conservatory/garden room; new wallpaper and bespoke furnishings and furniture – and state-of-the-art lighting incorporating picture ‘target’ spot lights. Special features included walk-in wardrobe doors inlaid with mirrors; a dramatic hallway iron balustrade and staircase; hand-carved patterns on the bespoke carpets, and fitted panelling in the hallway employing seven shades of white. From the creation and presentation of the design concepts to the completion of the project last year, the job took just over one year – and our client was very happy with the results.
