About Us

Edward Bulmer is one of Britain’s leading interior designers and architectural historians, specialising in the restoration and decoration of historic buildings. Edward has over thirty year’s experience completing architectural and decorative commissions in the US and Ireland, as well as major works at Althorp, Home House, Goodwood and many other great houses, including Chequers and Chevening.

Edward is the leading exponent of truly sustainable design. He has always been deeply involved with ecological issues and is a stylish exponent of practical sustainability in everyday living. He really understands the difference between ‘greenwash’ and truly environmentally friendly products.  He became so horrified when he found out how modern acrylic paint is made that he created his own collection of natural paints. His range now comprises over 100 beautiful colours. Edward and his team spend a lot of time on colour consultancy and practical advice so that clients get the perfect result.  Edward’s brand is authentic and transparent, his natural paints have no harmful emissions, allow walls to breathe and are made with only sustainably produced raw materials, all of which are declared on the tin. Practically no waste is generated by the production process which is certified carbon neutral.
