Interior Design
The brief for this beautiful Grade I listed house was to give it a more classic contemporary mix. We worked very closely with the client on every detail, modernising the bathrooms and creating a comfortable welcoming study, previously a games room off the entrance hall. The hall table was an important first impression, and much time and thought went into the design, composition and scale. Fortunately, we were able to restore and repair the existing marble floor. The vibrant, orange faux silk wallpaper in the cloakroom added a dramatic touch. The neutral palette for the master bedroom created an oasis of calm, and the client had the idea to move the bed to the opposite wall between the windows. Perspex tables and sheer curtains helped to create a light and airy room. Clever lighting and use of mirrors turned an awkward space into a glamorous master bathroom. It was a pleasure to work with the client’s interesting art work and sculptures.
