"The brief for the country project was to deliver an informal, contemporary take on traditional English country house style. The house had been variously extended from its eighteenth-century farmhouse roots with a myriad of small rooms. Victoria worked closely with the clients rethinking the space for family life and developing warm colourful schemes which play to the strengths of each room while retaining an air of relaxed luxury. Fabrics, wallpaper and antiques were sourced throughout, referencing the Edwardian period in which the house had been enlarged, with bespoke furniture commissioned for specific spaces. Inherited pieces and artwork were central to the designs, whilst antique prints and one-off lamps add character. Vintage and hand-woven rugs bring a sense of cohesion and flow to the space.

The brief for the contemporary Kensington apartment was to create a calm and glamorous atmosphere using neutral colours. French-Brooks Interiors overcame the lack of natural light with a carefully specified lighting scheme, layering table lamps, downlights, a striking pendant over the dining table and cabinetry lighting. A pale oak parquet floor, bamboo silk rug and ash dining table beneath the bay window were chosen to enhance this sense of light, while a pair of antiqued mirrors were commissioned for either side of the newly installed fireplace. The neutral background was a perfect foil for ebonised armchairs in embroidered velvet, modernist dining chairs and the organic texture of a bespoke burr walnut coffee table. The bedroom is tranquil and warm with curtains in a bold leafy design and pearlescent grasscloth to add subtle texture, whilst above the velvet headboard are a pair of abstract collages chosen to fit the space."
