About Us

Anna von Waldburg Design is an interior design practice established in 2015 operating from central London. Before setting up her own studio, Anna worked with Sussy Cazalet on a variety of residential projects and the private members club South Kensington Club. The main motivation when setting up her own practice was to offer solutions that are totally unique client, depending on the their requirements. The studio’s relationship with talented craftsmen and its library of resources allows her to create unexpected, balanced and refined spaces. As well as designing beautiful spaces, she undertakes a full design and build implementation service, dealing with interior architecture, space planning and site coordination.

As with any project we work on, the vision for the five-story family home in Kensington began with an analysis of the family’s everyday needs, as well as an understanding of their dreams. The challenge was to bring together the five floors and create a balanced light filled home that breathes. We spent a lot of time getting the flow right where every space was accessible and inviting. This was realised by completely remodelling the kitchen, injecting organic materials of sea grass wallpaper, textured tiles, wood, leathered granite and a bespoke poured liquid brass extractor hood, creating an open kitchen that was formal enough to use as an entertaining space, while at the same time relaxed enough to cater to the family. Heavy doors and walls were replaced with Critall panels in order to achieve more light and a sense of connection throughout the house. We added solid oak bespoke joinery to all the bedrooms, maximising storage and elegantly keeping away clutter. The Master Bedroom received a calm and harmonious makeover, with textures of mohair, sheepskin and rattan, long draped linen curtains, covering the wardrobes with hand-painted Chinoiserie wallpaper, a dream the client had since she was a young girl.
