Our talented team of frame-makers, finishers, and craftspeople are committed to creating beautiful, bespoke frames and mirrors that meet every brief. We have the pleasure of working with notable names within the hospitality and hotel industries, including The Maybourne Hotel Group, The Twenty Two, Heckfield Place and Dorchester Collection. We also work closely with private clients, artists, galleries, curators, and many of the UK’s top interior designers, making bespoke frames, mirrors, and finishes for projects all around the world.
Since 1979 we have specialised in the production of bespoke and hand-finished picture frames and mirrors, with Patrick learning the art of hand-finishing frames in Italy at the start of his career. In the 45 years since, we’ve expanded our offering to include not just picture frames but bespoke mirror design, hand finishing, and object framing, too. Patrick handed the reins of the business to his daughter, Abbie Ireland, in 2019 and we’re just as committed as ever to his legacy of design innovation, quality, and reliability.
In addition to creating fully bespoke work for our clients, we also have a robust frame catalogue, including a number of Patrick Ireland original designs, and a collection of PI-designed mirrors, all of which can be fully customised to suit a particular design scheme or project.
Our workshop is based in East Sussex and you can often see our Patrick Ireland delivery van zipping around London, but for clients further afield we use specialist couriers who take the utmost care with our fragile products. We love opening our workshop doors to visitors and would be delighted to welcome you to our new workshop in Buxted, East Sussex from September 2024.

How would you describe your style?
"We’re pretty eclectic here at Patrick Ireland and love producing designs that range from contemporary to traditional. Because every aspect of our work is made and finished by hand, our clients have the flexibility to customise every detail of their design, from the size to the shape, type of mirror glass, frame profile, and finish. Our team’s extensive knowledge and expertise allow us to constantly review and develop techniques, designs and finishes, keeping abreast with interior trends whilst also maintaining the tenets of classic hand-finished craftsmanship.
We invite you to visit our website portfolio as well as our Instagram profile to see how diverse our offering is."
Please describe a recently completed project or tell us about the bespoke service that you offer
"Since taking over the business in 2019, Abbie Ireland has been committed to continuing her father’s legacy and our team of talented framers and finishers, alongside our made-to-order approach, has allowed us to innovate and adapt quickly to emerging trends within the world of interiors and bring every aspect our clients’ requests to life.
As we hand finish all our frames at our workshop, we can create completely bespoke finishes for our clients’ projects. We also match colours and finishes provided to us, producing samples and CAD drawings for sign off before going into production. Every project we take on is completely unique and it’s a real privilege to be trusted to bring bespoke designs to life and to have them featured in so many beautiful homes and incredible spaces."
