About Us

Granit is a team of interior designers and architects that have been creating beautiful homes since 1988. Our team passionately believes in the value of great design and how it can positively impact our lives, communities and the broader environment. We aim to create beautiful, sustainable and pragmatic homes, satisfying our clients' needs and desires. In doing so, we achieve high levels of customer satisfaction whether our clients are renovating their home, remodelling or updating the decor. We encourage all of our clients to consider sustainability as a core principle in their projects as we believe building performance plays a critical role in addressing climate change.

Granit's core values are to be design-led, to deliver joined-up thinking across interior and architectural designers, to act as a partner for our clients throughout their project journey, and to take a people-first approach to design.

How would you describe your style?

"Our ethos is to design beautiful, yet comfortable spaces that respond to the individual needs of our clients. We create fusions between clean lines, textures and soft furnishings with a big emphasis on elegant, exciting materials that add depth and detail to a project. We aim to bring a range of ideas to every client and to distil these into a coherent design. We have worked on many property styles, from contemporary inner-city apartments and Victorian-era terraced houses to barn conversions and basements. We are as comfortable working on a Grade II Listed heritage project as we are a mews house in West London or a luxury apartment in Chelsea."

Please describe a recently completed project or tell us about the bespoke service that you offer

"Every client and project has unique requirements, but we approach them the same way by starting with a deep understanding of our client's needs and wants. We get to know the people behind the project, their tastes, and their budgets. We translate this research into a brief that guides our thinking on everything from cushions and curtains to custom joinery, bespoke lighting, colour palettes, the materials we use or the layout of the floor plan.

Some of our recent projects include working on a Grade II listed cottage in Sussex. We took a poorly extended building and translated it into a family home, sensitive to the heritage aspects of the project while creating a beautiful contemporary space that works for our clients. We have worked on the interior design of apartments in Kensington, Battersea and Clapham, creating beautiful homes with fresh ideas, new materials and carefully considered interior design schemes."
