About Us

Blank Slate is a small design studio founded by Bari Jerauld and is based in West London. Projects include private residential projects.

Our ethos at Blank Slate is to provide a holistic approach to design, taking time to deeply understand our client’s perspective. Creating comfortable, approachable spaces through a thoughtful design process. Working collaboratively with all our partnerships: clients, architects, builders, craftspeople, artists and designers to create balanced, harmonious interiors that allow their inhabitants to feel good about them.

Bari is originally from New York City with over 20 years of experience working in the industry. She started her career working for Peter Marino Architects, gaining invaluable experience across a wide range of projects covering residential, hospitality and retail spaces. She later spent over a decade working alongside various designers as well as designing finished product collections for Wynn Resorts, Target and Barney’s retail stores in the US. Bari founded Blank Slate in 2014 and moved from New York to London in that same year. Blank Slate draws upon Bari’s varied professional experience and her diverse background sets Blank Slate up for success across a wide range of projects and client needs.

How would you describe your style?

"With a strong background in textiles, I like to use natural materials such as cotton, linens, wools and leathers - layering both texture and pattern. Every project includes old and new pieces, bringing a cohesive design together.  Colour and light also play a very big role in my style vision, a crucial element to extract the most out of each space. While these attributes form the cornerstones of all of my projects, the overall style goals are adapted to each client and space using unique features to accentuate the individuality of each project."
