"We recently completed a refurbishment project for new clients who had a specific goal in mind. Now retired, the couple share a love of art and wanted their home to reflect that passion. Working on a way to give the house a ‘gallery’ feel, we transformed the under-used existing extension by opening up doorways to ensure a light and airy flow through the house, while installing much larger external windows to provide more natural light from the rear.

A central fireplace servicing two rooms means the children can watch football in one room while those of a less energetic persuasion check out 'Antiques Roadshow' next door, all connected by an open-plan layout and beautiful oak floor. The look of a gallery was completed by using the existing first-floor window openings which overlook the refurbished back room as places to display contemporary and personal art, all finished in neutral Farrow and Ball colours to accentuate the artwork so beloved of our clients. The homely feel of the rooms flows seamlessly through to the ‘gallery’ while the new bespoke kitchen completed a transformation which left the couple eager for us to undertake further projects in their home."
