They are a small team of interior, architectural designers and project managers. Providing a seamless service from interior design and styling, architectural and technical plans, planning applications, M&E and home automation, through to furniture design and sourcing fixtures and fittings.

With over 25 years in design and construction, Alex Keane, Tim Neate and Emma Bristow formed Mimetico in 2019 having previously worked together for many years. Combining creativity with budget control, regulatory precision, transparency, and good communication forming the core of their business, they ensure that our clients feel confident and empowered throughout the project duration.

How would you describe your style?

"We pride ourselves in not being cookie-cutter in our approach. Whilst we are informed of current trends, we help form our client's brief and interpret a balance of their aesthetic preferences and lifestyles. Whether it be sympathetic period restoration or a contemporary refurbishment. All projects follow our judicious process to ensure that the outcomes are tailored, appropriate, distinctive, well balanced and finished to the highest standard."

"Our case studies show complete renovations of a family apartment in Knightsbridge, and a Grade II listed house with glass extension in St John’s Wood, NW8.

For this first referenced project, our client wanted to capture an atmosphere of warmth, softness, originality and positivity. No aspect was overlooked in creating a supremely comfortable family home with the highest attention to detail, incorporating full home automation and air conditioning.

The opulence of the materials is tempered by clean lines and seamless finishes, from the frameless doors set into polished plastered walls, to hand-selected Calacatta marble with bespoke cabinetry in the master en-suite, to soft sumptuous furnishings and wall coverings.

For the second, our client wanted to create a modern, clean and cool coloured backdrop in order to showcase his artwork and distinctive furniture. The lower ground floor became an entertaining inside-out space where the contemporary extension opens out into the new rear landscaped garden.

We integrated into the scheme a hidden smart automation and HVAC system. With all of our projects, we become the principal designer from concept through to technical drawings. We often take on the role as client agent, where we can identify principal contractors, put together tender packages ensuring the initial construction budget is properly managed. With contractors, we are both the client agent and project manager supervising the project from payment plans to weekly on-site architectural and interior design refinements.

This way we own the project for our clients giving them the reassurance that from start to finish they will be informed and guided through the whole process."
