How would you describe your style?

"Stuart Carlisle provides a sympathetic design approach where we really listen and encourage our client’s views and requests. This ensures we design homes that are not only beautiful and luxurious but also cater for each family’s needs, both practically and aesthetically. Typically, no two projects are the same because each design is tailored to the brief but there are several common threads: bespoke furniture design, layering of textures and a use of colour to bring warmth and personality to the space."

"Stuart Carlisle was commissioned to fully re-design a promising but tired 3,500 sq ft apartment with stunning views overlooking Regent's Park. We were asked to provide a turnkey package which addressed all elements of the property: the internal layout, interior architecture, bathrooms, kitchen, and all associated finishes and sanitaryware, through to options for bespoke furniture and joinery, soft furnishings, artwork and accessories. Our client made a bold investment for her family and together we helped achieve their vision for a smart, yet comfortable design-led apartment which was also very practical for teenage sons and everyday life.

The client is a keen entertainer so we designed a slick home bar and an elegant, sociable living / dining space with rich colours in the furniture and beautifully crafted bespoke joinery softened by faux silk wallpaper. We then designed a very bright and airy but comfortable family cinema room with a large U-shaped bespoke sofa and a small desk area for the boys to have a space to study. The boys' bedrooms were designed with their personal requests in mind and, along with each ensuite, tailored to create a timeless but fun space with maximum storage.

The master suite at the end of the property became a relaxing haven with neutral colours and soft textures. The large bespoke upholstered headboard with brushed brass detailing adds a sense of luxury akin to a hotel bedroom. We opened up the ensuite to include a dressing area without compromising on the bathroom layout; it includes mother-of-pearl mosaic and a ‘cashmere’ finish to the tiles, creating a really sumptuous bathroom.

Art Deco detailing was included in the bespoke joinery throughout the property as a nod to the original features. We included bespoke fluted glass screens to separate the main living area from the hallway, whilst enabling the natural light from the park to continue through the apartment. Layering of soft, rich tones and subtle textures help create a warm and inviting home. The final touch was the re-framing and positioning of the client’s art collection which inserted their personality into the home. Once this project was completed, we were asked to provide a similar design service for homes belonging to the client’s father and brother - the biggest compliment to receive at the end of a project."
