"The client brief for this Dubai villa outlined a desire to build a house that was able to accommodate visits by statesmen and women and royalty from all over the world but also be a family home. The house needed to be imposing without being overtly pretentious, incorporating details and references of European designs but in a modern and fresh manner. The owner is a young, highly educated family who wanted SHH to provide a turnkey design solution from architecture through to interiors and FF&E. The client’s request to host and entertain discerning guests has been reflected throughout the design of this opulent residence which features formal and informal living and dining spaces serviced by professional and prep kitchens. The interior colour palette of dark timber and bronze metal hues defines the luxurious interiors of the residence. Elegant metal screens, marble floors, silk wall coverings and opulent chandeliers bring a warm glow into the home which includes six bedrooms all with en-suite bathrooms. The formal reception room is dressed with refined unique pieces of furniture and joinery including a stunning selenite clad and brass detailed bar piece designed by SHH and realised by Jallu Ebenistes. The walls are lined with silk and the windows dressed with beautiful fabric by Fox Linton which creates an inviting, elegant atmosphere."
