Katherine established her own design consultancy in 2011. The company is based in Warwickshire and primarily covers private client residential properties across London, Oxfordshire and the Midlands.
Growing up alongside her interior designer mother and later working for some of the ‘greats’ in the industry - Colefax & Fowler and John Stefanidis - fuelled her desire to open her own studio. Katherine and her team pride themselves on a depth of knowledge when it comes to British properties. The team have worked across several Listed country houses, city apartments, townhouses and new developments.
Pomander Interiors work with local trusted building teams, architects and specific artisans from differing specialisms to meet exacting standards, ensuring a perfect finish is continuously met for every client project.

Her studio boasts an extensive well known and bespoke fabric collection - to perfectly combine texture, pattern and colour to every scheme.
The traditional yet contemporary style of her design enables the team to work effortlessly across differing client briefs - whether breathing character into a new development or a large country residence that needs a contemporary facelift whilst staying architecturally sympathetic to its surroundings. "We recently completed works on a large country house in Warwickshire that desperately needed character to be introduced throughout the property. Set in a beautiful picturesque hamlet, we created a soft welcoming colour palette to the walls, with herringbone hardwood flooring throughout most of the ground floor. In the living room, we introduced soft wool carpeting, a stunning limestone fireplace and calming soft natural tones for the furniture items.
To create an elegant yet inviting space, deeper tones were introduced across the window treatments, soft furnishings and a bespoke stair runner to the principal staircase. The bathrooms were completely renovated. The team sourced distinctive yet complimenting styles through natural stone, ceramics and beautifully patterned porcelain. Individual colour schemes were created for each bedroom, with a shared theme carried through in carefully designed bespoke soft furnishings and joinery.
The end result displayed a testament to the team’s exacting attention to every detail - creating a natural flow from one room to another and a truly wonderful country house for our clients to enjoy. Other current projects include a Kensington mews house in London, a large modern new development in Warwickshire, two Georgian-style contemporary residences in Ascot and Stratford upon Avon and a complete renovation project to a rambling country residence in Oxfordshire."
